Based in Ann Arbor, I love leading ceremonies of all kinds throughout the state and country!        It’s an incredible honor to stand beside people during the great joys, mysteries and challenges of life.

I’m a community-builder at heart, which is why     I’m so passionate about ritual.   As human beings,    we all long for a deeper sense of belonging and connection.  During these times of social and political divide, we need loving community more than ever before.

I started leading ceremony when I was 25 years old, when a dear friend asked me to create a women’s spirituality circle with her…so we could share more deeply in our friend’s lives.  Little did I know then, that the experience would forever change my life.  Within that circle of support, I felt seen and heard, uplifted and inspired, and connected to spirit and life in wonderful new ways.  It was then I discovered my passions for sacred ceremony and community, and leading others through transformative experiences.

At the same time, I was directing social action programs and advocating for large scale systemic change.  Struggling with burnout in my activism, I felt restored through my studies of the ceremonial and healing arts, including Yoga, herbal medicine and meditation.  I became fascinated with the connections between the inner arts of change, and our collective efforts for global change.  As I tended to my relationship with myself, and the earth, my efforts for progressive social change became more joyful, effective and sustained.

Sharing ceremony is one of the most powerful ways we can gather in community, and embody our pursuit of a better world.  Rituals of connection allow us to co-create the loving world we so desperately want to live within.  As we open our hearts, and expand our capacity for love and joy and compassion, we begin to embody a whole new life;  a whole new community and world.  A world where our joys nourish one another.  A world where our struggles are shared.  A world where we buoy one another when we are most in need.

As SARK (inspirational author, artist and lover-of-life) so beautifully says, “I believe that circles…weave invisible nets of love that carry us when we’re weak and sing with us when we’re strong.”
